The purpose of the Dynamics of Learning instructional development program was to enhance teaching and learning at Pitt Community College. Specifically, the program was designed to identify effective teaching tools and strategies to improve and maximize student learning through faculty instructional development.

The following four general tools and strategies were identified as areas that can contribute to instructional development at Pitt Community College: 1) brain research, 2) multiple intelligences, 3) learning style theory, and 4) online instruction. These concepts were explored in a series of 3-hour workshops. The background materials for the workshops can be downloaded by following the links below. (All files are Microsoft Word documents.)
