The non-profit organization administering the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design(LEED) certification process. LEED promotes the global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria

Sustainable Building Design Competition
Sponsored by the Advanced Energy Corporation and the Triangle Chapter of Emerging Green Builders, the SBDC is a program to engage students in the state’s universities and community colleges in learning and applying the lessons of sustainable design and construction. Each year statewide winners see their design built as part of the grand prize.
